Pathways to Employment – Waterford Women’s Centre

We are currently looking for participants to join the LTI programme in September 2024. Our LTI programme helps our women explore education, training and employment options within a friendly, welcoming and safe community setting. We help the women build their confidence, to explore their individual goals for progress either in education or employment. We have developed a fun and creative way of learning and as a result the women participating learn about themselves through engaging in personal development activities.

The LTI Programme is a course for women who are in a place in their lives where they don’t know how to move forward in their lives, women who feel a little stuck and need support to navigate their progression.

As a result of taking part in the programme the women participating can gain a Level 4 QQI qualification in General Learning. The course covers a variety of modules, 5 modules per year. It runs for 2 academic years, Monday to Thursday from 9:30 – 1:30pm from September to the end of June.

The modules for the coming academic year include: Functional Maths, Business English, Work Experience, Computer Applications, Health Related Fitness and Customer Services.
