Parents Plus Children’s Parenting Programme 6-11 years

The Parents Plus Children’s Parenting Programme is for parents of children aged 6-11 years old. It is a 8 week programme and will take place on Tuesday mornings from 10am-12.30pm .  The first session will start on Monday 8^th May from 10am-12.30pm and will then continue for the following 7 Tuesdays from 10am-12.30pm until 27^th June in St Brigid’s Family & Community Centre, 37 Lower Yellow Road, Waterford City X91 C7WT.

 

The programme is for parents/guardians who wish to:
– Promote positive communication and encouragement with your child.
– Help your children learn and reach their full potential.
– Set rules and establish positive routines in the home.
– Manage behaviour and discipline issues.
– Solve childhood problems in a positive way that helps your child learn.

 

This course does not propose to find all the answers but hopes to help parents gain support of other parents and find down-to-earth solutions for difficult situations. The focus of the course is positive and aims to build on your strengths as a parent and what you are already doing right.
