Information session for parents/ guardians on young carers

Have you children or young people in the family who assist with the care needs of others? This session will talk about the supports Family Carers Ireland provide to young carers and how to get involved.
The term ‘young carers’ refers to children and young people whose lives are affected in some significant way by the care needs of another family member due to their illness, diability, mental illness or addiction, and who provide care or help provide care to that person.

Young carers are a hidden group in society and might not identify themselves as young carers.
