Free Training for Life and Work in Ireland ( Aimed at Migrant Community)

Sláintecare Healthy Communities Programme in partnership with Waterford City and County Council, Adult Literacy for Life, Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB), Turas Nua, HSE Sláintecare Healthy Communities Programme and the Department of Social Protection are organizing a FREE Pilot Training for Life & Work in Ireland (15 places available) for the migrant community in Waterford.

 

  • This Pilot Training aims to support migrants to prepare for a new life in Ireland and towards getting employment, self-employment, social enterprise, or further education/ training.

The main areas this training will focus on are Access to Education & Employment, Life Skills, and Health & Wellbeing.

This intensive training will be:

  • 12 weeks long
  • 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
  • 9.30am – 13.30pm
  • Venue: Wallace House, 3rd Floor, Maritana Gate, Canada Street, Waterford, X91 PP2R.

 

The training is open to adult migrants with the right to work in Ireland who:

  • Have an intermediate level of English Language (WWETB will assess language skills.)
  • Have not previously taken part in Employment Training with ETB or WAP/SICAP
  • Can fully participate in the training from 25/09/2023 to 15/12/2023.
