Gambling and Gaming Addiction Talk

This initiative involves a collaboration with Gambling Care, and is funded and administered by the Gambling Awareness Trust. Newly published ERSI figures highlight the gravity and growth of problem gambling in Ireland, with 1 in 30 adults reported to be adversely engaged. Consequently, St Brigid’s Family Resource Centre (and approximately 20 other facilities throughout Ireland), have been equipped to provide a community-based model of family support and counselling, for problem gamblers and/or their affected others.

Our key speaker will be gambling expert Tony O’Reilly, who has a lived experience of gambling addiction, and whose story was published in the book Tony 10 https://tonyjoreilly.ie/tony1
