HSE Maternity Unit UHW Post Natal Parent Hub
Postnatal Parent Hub, a weekly hub run by midwives along with other healthcare professionals to support, guide and advise new parents through the first few weeks following birth. An opportunity to meet with midwives, perinatal mental health midwife, paediatrician and many more healthcare professionals to discuss common concerns, recovery advice, share in open conversations regarding to adapting to parenthood.
If you are a new Mum or have just recently had a baby, to ensure both mum and baby stays well physically and mentally over the first few months after birth please come along the the weekly Postal Natal Parent hub.
This is a HSE service that runs weekly at Brill Family Resource Centre and is free to attend.
At the weekly Post Natal Parent Hub you will receive support in the following ways:
- Midwife led session
- Social support from other new parents
- Pediatrician to chat with regrading any concerns
- Perinatal Mental Health Midwife to offer advice around coping mechanisms during the first few weeks
- Perinatal women’s physio to discuss pelvic floor exercises and after birth care
- lactation consultant to discuss infant feeding
- Many more health professionals that will come in to talk about different topics weekly

This is for any Parent of a new baby across Waterford City and country to come along too.
