Jigsaw Waterford
Jigsaw Waterford is a mental health charity for young people living in Waterford city and county. Our service is free, non-judgemental and confidential. We offer free therapy to young people aged 12 -25– both online and in person.
How does Jigsaw work?
Jigsaw works by supporting young people where they are with their mental health. Young people reach out with problems at school, at home, with their friends, with how they are feeling, and worries on their mind. Sometimes these are recent problems and other times young people may have been struggling for a while. Young people can expect care, respect, and space to talk about what is going on from them.
Jigsaw aims to see all young people within a few weeks of making contact with us, ensuring we support them when and where they need it. Often, a single timely meeting with one of our clinicians is all a young person needs, but many young people also choose to come back for several meetings. If Jigsaw is not the right place for the type of support a young person needs, we will work to connect with services that can.
Who can make a referral?
Young people aged 12 to 25 can self-refer, and parents, guardians, or professionals can also make a referral with the young person’s permission.
