Writing the Motherhood Journey: A Special Course for Mothers

Waterford Libraries and Creative Waterford are proud to present a unique and inspiring writing course designed especially for mothers at all stages of the parenting journey.

This six-week, in-person creative writing course, will provide a supportive space for mothers to explore their stories, express their experiences, and connect through the written word and will take place in Carrickphierish Library.

Whether you’re a new mother, an experienced parent, or somewhere in between, this course welcomes you to explore motherhood through creative writing in a nurturing and non-judgmental environment.

The course will run in two parts:

Phase 1: A 4-week series of sessions beginning on 16th May at 11 am, offering guided writing exercises, reflection prompts, and opportunities for group sharing.

Summer Break: A pause in programming to allow time for personal journaling, creative processing, and continued reflection

Phase 2: The course will resume in the autumn for two additional weeks, inviting participants to return with new insights and writing to share and shape.
