Targeted Youth Employability Support Initiative 2024 – Children’s Group Link.  

Childrens Group Link are pleased to announce our job-ready initiative based training in partnership with

Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) and Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (wwetb), commencing the 19th August 2024.  Please see attached poster.  

The aim of the Targeted Youth Employability Support Initiative (TYESI) is to engage and support the harder to reach young people aged 15 to 24, who are not currently in employment, education or training. Course contents will cover soft skills such as communication, personal & social development as well as practical skills of applying and securing employment or further training or an apprenticeship. It will include support with preparing a C.V, applying for a job, mock interviews, and work experience.  

It will be part training and part recreational based with a person-centered approach.  

• Commencing 19th August 2024, 3 mornings per week, approx. 9 – 10 hours.

• Children’s Group Link premises and off site.
• Will not affect unemployment or social benefits.
• lunch will be provided.
• Small groups and 1:1 support.
• Combination of practical employment training and fun based activities.
