Tramore Youth and Family Project Foroige

The Tramore Youth & Family Project aims to enhance the life chances of 10 – 18 year olds and their families in Tramore and to assist them to reach their potential by:

  • Provide support in a community setting to all young people and families referred by the Social Work Department
  • Collaborate and work closely with Tusla staff and to engage with the

local area pathways model as it continues to develop in the area

  • Develop needs led outcome based youth services for local young people which will enable them to expand their life skills and provide education and information on relevant youth issues
  • Organising joint programmes with schools and other local agencies or organisations within the community

 

Target Group

The project caters for all young people and their families in the 10-18 year age group with a focus on those who are referred by Tusla, Gardaí, Schools and other key individuals in the community.  The project also pays particular attention to young people who are experiencing or are at risk of any of the following:

  • Experiencing social difficulties
  • Substance misuse
  • Conflict at home/relationships
  • Early school leaving/difficulties in school
  • Involvement in crime
  • Difficulties in their home life
