HSE Bereavement Counselling Service For Traumatic Deaths

This is a bereavement counselling service for people who have been bereaved by any of the following circumstances:
• Suicide
• Homicide
• Road traffic accident
• Industrial/agricultural/domestic accident
• Drowning

This service is delivered by the HSE Regional Suicide Resource Office. Access to the service is by referral from a GP or appropriate health professional. A minimum of 12 bereavement counselling sessions are offered to clients and there is no cost to the client. Parental consent is required for those aged 16 and 17 years.
